ISO 100
F 2.8

SS 500

This is a shot I took of my son and his girlfriend yesterday. I tried to do sun flare shot but wasn't too happy with this one. I would like harsh critisism on this one please. I shot them all at f 2.8 and regret it. I have seen is done before with a couple but it didn't work for me.

Anyway, here is my tilted crop assignment.

Look forward to your cc.

The flare part I really like it.
I think what bothers me a little is that they are too close to the branches that they blend with them.
I would suggest using a longer lens that would automatically blurr more teh background or put the subjects more farther from the branches.
Overall, I like the posing. I do believe shooting above their heads and having them looking UP would be better. But that's me. Since they are your willing models, I would go for re-doing this assignment and trying the other suggestions you will get here. Good for you to be brave and share. That's how we learn and get happier in life: taking risks.

So besides the branches and shooting down on them instead of up, is this an ok shot? I will never shoot a couple at f 2.8 again. I will ask them for a reshoot when the snow is gone. I don't think I can talk them into is right now.
